Big Brother: All-Stars, August 18 Live Feeds – The Roller Coaster by Jeffrey Clinard -- 08/19/2006 Friday was a roller coaster day, with a veto ceremony, an eviction, and a new HOH. Was the veto used? Was the Coup d’Etat used? Who was evicted? Who won HOH? And who has gotten seriously depressed? Warning: This article contains spoiler information. Good morning, houseguests! James, Danielle, and Erika are up early and discuss breakfast. Janelle and Howie go up to the HOH room and talk to Chicken George. Chicken George tells Janelle the whole house, including James, wants her evicted, but he won’t put her up. He does ask them to keep Erika in the house. They leave and Chicken George locks himself out of the HOH room. Whoops. He is then confronted with an upset Erika, who begs him to put up Janelle or Howie. He keeps telling her that he’s secured the votes for her to stay, but she keeps begging him. He finally tells her to have some faith. Janelle and Howie ponder what Chicken George said about the house wanting Janelle gone. Howie thinks the houseguests might be lying about wanting Janelle out. Janelle starts crying because she lied to Chicken George about voting to save Erika. Howie says he may not be winning many HOHs this year, but he’s loyal to her. They rant some about James and question his loyalty. The houseguests are put on indoor lockdown, Erika once again goes to see Chicken George in the HOH room. Funny, I can’t recall a single conversation they had unless she wanted his vote before. Chicken George is considering putting up Dr. Will, but she tells him Chill Town has won the special power. If Dr. Will is put up, a combination of Janelle, Chill Town, and the special power will mean she’s going home. Erika gets on her knees to continue to beg Chicken George to reconsider. Danielle buzzes the HOH room, but Chicken George asks her to give them a minute. Chicken George urges Erika not to beg, but she tells him Chill Town has power, and she’ll lose if he puts up Dr. Will. He finally tells her to leave as he wants to use the bathtub. Erika goes off and tells Chill Town what she did, as well as Danielle. Mike Boogie tells her not to worry; he’ll fix everything one way or another. Dr. Will and Mike Boogie go up to talk to Chicken George, and Dr. Will says he’s fine with going up. Mike Boogie asks him what he’d do if he follows Erika out the door. Chicken George just says he’ll follow her out. He does say he won’t put up Janelle because it isn’t right. Feeds to go fire, and it is unclear what else they might have said, but it worked. James used the power of veto on himself, and Howie is the replacement nominee. Dr. Will tells Mike Boogie that he thinks James told Chicken George to put up Janelle, and that will work in their favor. Howie is less happy; he goes up to the HOH room complaining about being nominated. He demands Chicken George do the right thing in case of a tie and vote out Erika. He keeps complaining that Chicken George said he wouldn’t put him up, and he did. Janelle and Danielle talk, with Janelle feeling stupid for putting up Marcellas. James and Mike Boogie talk, with James urging they evict Erika. Danielle says the diary room sessions she’d most like to see are Chicken George because nobody has any idea what he is thinking. Janelle agrees. James says he can’t vote out Erika. Both were surprised by the nomination of Howie. It also seems that after Howie was nominated, he want on a rampage and called everybody out on their alliances. Feeds go to fire, and something else changes, as James tells Howie he’s going home. Only himself and Janelle are voting to save him. Howie says Chicken George is the biggest scumbag player in the house. Mike Boogie and Dr. Will each tell Janelle that they will save Howie. Janelle is prepared to win HOH in a few hours. Erika and Danielle are happy. Erika is convinced Howie is going home, and with the nomination Chicken George is in their camp. Danielle thinks the fans are loving this. She reads all the comments from the fans. Hi, Danielle! Howie tells Mike Boogie that James sold out SeaSick. Chicken George told him. Howie goes off to pack. Danielle and Erika talk again, with Danielle saying that James won’t vote to keep Erika. She says it doesn’t matter. Danielle goes off to talk to James and asks who he would put up as HOH. He names Chicken George and Erika. Janelle goes to the HOH room to talk to Chicken George. She tells him Chill Town convinced her to put up Marcellas instead of him. She asks him if everybody came up to ask him to nominate her. He says she’ll have to figure that out for herself. She says she’ll vote to save Howie, and they both talk about the pressures of the HOH. He says he respects her game and ability to win challenges. It was hard for him to put up Howie. She thanks her for not nominating her as she would have been evicted. She says she needs to win HOH again to scare people. Backyard shots are shown of the upcoming HOH competition. It seems to involve gnomes, holes for heads, and cream pies. Dr. Will and Mike Boogie ponder options and wonder if they should evict Erika over Howie. James still won’t vote out Howie because he’s going to be on the jury. Dr. Will doesn’t want to lose Janelle’s trust, but will if he votes out Howie. They try Danielle next, but she won’t vote out Erika either. Feeds go to fire, and when they come back, Howie has been evicted, Janelle is crying, and Mike Boogie is the new HOH! James tries to console Janelle, and notes he’s never been in the house without Howie. She’s also upset that they didn’t get a chance to give goodbye videos. She cries some more and says the house cheered when she was eliminated from the HOH competition. Mike Boogie says he’ll allow Chicken George an additional night in the HOH room since he had a short but stressful time. Mike Boogie, Dr. Will, Erika, and Danielle note that Howie was yelling during the eviction. All of them are happy he wasn’t nominated for a whole week or he’d have been impossible to live with. They kind of feel sorry for April for his rant on her. They go off to console Chicken George about the rant Howie gave him upon eviction. Mike tries to console Janelle, but she’s convinced it’s her versus the house, and that James threw the HOH competition. She says she hates Erika, Danielle, and Chicken George. Mike Boogie leaves and Dr. Will comes in and tells Janelle that Chicken George is a nice guy, and he told him to put himself (Dr. Will) up on the block. They weren’t going to vote out Howie until they found out he was going to go busto on Chicken George. He’ll pressure Mike Boogie to put up Danielle and James. He tells her James only voted to keep Howie for a jury vote. They shift and talk about the HOH competition, with Janelle being embarrassed because she was hit in the face with a chocolate pie. Dr. Will says that he has no chance of winning – he’d lose to Osama Bin Laden. My eyes roll as I recall that’s how he won season 2. He tries to get Janelle to leave the red room, but she says she’s been crying. Plus, nobody likes her except him and Chicken George. He says the other girls hate beautiful ones. He tries to tell her she was an America’s Choice for the house, and then talks about the clash that will happen between Marcellas and Howie in the jury house. Janelle notes that Chicken George went through every houseguest at the veto ceremony and explained why he couldn’t nominate them – except for Howie. She cries some more. James and Danielle chat and note that Janelle was responsible for everybody who left the house. Erika tells Chicken George she was sorry that Howie yelled at him. Janelle finally puts on sunglasses and goes to the HOH room, but there seems to be a problem – Mike Boogie doesn’t recognize anybody in his family photos. They seem to be Howie’s. Oops. Mike Boogie goes off to the storage room with James to look for food, and they discuss Howie and Janelle. Janelle is acting like a spoiled brat, and Howie was immature for a guy in his mid-30s. James notes he calmed down Howie last year at times. Janelle goes to talk to Chicken George, still in her sunglasses. Chicken George says he’ll be on the outside again but is prepared for it. He suggests the two of them were fated for this point in the game. He suggests they take a break and relax tonight. Erika tells about her farewell video to Howie, saying she enjoyed being a Jedi with him and him talking about her boobies. She asks Danielle about Marcellas, and she notes that the golden veto still clouds their relationship. It was his goal to get her evicted. Dr. Will notes it wasn’t the smartest thing he could have said. Danielle explains the whole fallout over the golden veto episode. Apparently she took offense to him bashing her on House Calls and sent a bunch of emails about it. One she sent back was put on his website. Big Brother provides wine and the houseguests drink up. Janelle isn’t happy. She sits by herself, smoking and drinking. James and Danielle go off and wonder who Mike Boogie is going to nominate, plus what his power is. Both are ready to watch the shows and read about the feeds. Danielle was sorry to see Howie go because he always cracked her up. James meets up with Janelle, who’s still crying. James says if it hadn’t been Howie, it would have been her. He’s sure she can handle this better than she has been. She’s really drunk, slurring her words, talking about hating Erika and committing suicide. She goes off to a bedroom, where Danielle and Erika try to console her. After that fails, Dr. Will gives it another try. Janelle wants to be voted out; she knows James and Chicken George will already. Dr. Will does his best to make Janelle laugh. Janelle talks about getting a DOR (dismissal on request) and seeing her boyfriend and dog again. He tries to get happy thoughts in her, talking about county fairs. Janelle is finally called to the diary room. Upstairs, Mike Boogie and Erika have some laughs about Howie, including his comments after the HOH competition when he shouted out, “This is for you, Howie!” They also talk about Howie throwing his hat and wonder if they should have mentioned Rancho Cucamonga. I guess Howie lives there. No jokes, please, I lived there myself for about eight years. It’s a large bedroom community and has a great minor league baseball team and stadium. Janelle returns from the diary room and goes out to smoke, and Dr. Will explains to James and Danielle what she is going through. Apparently she almost won HOH again. Dr. Will goes to join Janelle, and Janelle rants about how Danielle makes her sick. She finishes her cigarette and goes to the kitchen, where she tells James she doesn’t want to be there (in the house). James tells Danielle that Janelle is starting to realize she single-handedly destroyed season 6. Dr. Will and Janelle talk, and while he wants her on his side, she says she wants to be voted out. She tells him that he and Mike Boogie have won all the prizes, and she did what they wanted, and she has nothing. She wants to go to sequester where she can have better food and more comfort items like photographs. She then says she’ll work with him and Mike Boogie if she gets the golden egg with the $10,000. They shift to talking about Howie, and how he’s like a puppy that needs attention and care all the time. Danielle and James still wonder about nominations, with James thinking it might be him, Erika, or Janelle. If Erika is on the block and wins veto, it might be Chicken George. James mentions he plans to win HOH next week. Dr. Will and Janelle stroll through the backyard with him still trying to convince her to keep playing. Danielle joins them and tells Janelle her mom would not want her to give up. Janelle says she’d vote for Chicken George to win because he has kids. Danielle warns them not to underestimate him. Janelle keeps smoking, and Danielle wants a cigarette but doesn’t want to be seen smoking. Danielle leaves and Dr. Will tells Janelle they had to vote out Howie since he exposed their alliance. He says they didn’t tell her beforehand because she would have freaked out. Janelle says if she isn’t nominated, she will start playing hard again. Otherwise, she is done. Eventually, they all go to bed. Good night, houseguests. Summary: It was a wild day in the house. Erika begged Chicken George not to nominate Dr. Will, with some success.
