August 10 live feeds Big Brother: All Stars, August 10 Live Feeds – Can I Have a Do-Over Please?
by Joel Hardy -- 08/11/2006
It’s another eviction day in the house. It appears that Kaysar is a certain evictee, but nothing is for sure in this house. Some things are for sure though – such as that there is now a supply of wool in the house, Danielle needs some wine, and you just cannot do a live HOH competition over again. Or can you? Warning: This article contains spoiler information!
Good morning, houseguests! It’s another wonderful eviction day in the Big Brother house! It is also another special day, as it is Kaysar’s birthday. Happy birthday, Kaysar! Unfortunately, I do not think that it will be a very happy day for him.
It is not until about 9:45 houseguest time that someone finally wakes up. Not surprisingly, it’s Danielle. She does her normal morning hygiene thing, and soon enough, the others start to slowly rise from the dead. Appropriate, since there are ghosts in the house. This goes on for some time. They are taking their time eating, showering, etc. It seems like this is always the case on live show days. So as a result, not much interesting happens for awhile.
At some point, they go to an outside lockdown. There are complaints about the heat, among other things. James wants to know if they can all come and hang out in Howie’s basement after the show. Marcellas extends an invitation to everyone to come and hang out in Beverly Hills with him. According to Marcellas, he is a homo (owner) in a gay (ted) community. He has to repeat this last statement about five times so Howie can get it. Not one for MENSA, our Howie.
Kaysar and James are in the bug room. Kaysar disses Janelle. He says something about everything being about her. James just snorts. James says it’s frustrating because they both feel the same way about the same thing; they just have different perspectives on it. He goes on to say that they both think that they are right, but they will not know who is right until after the live show tonight, and it will not matter then. James changes the subject and says that Alison called him two weeks before the show and asked him if he had any alliances, he said no, and she asked him if he wanted one, he said no, that he and alliances do not mix. He told Alison that she should not have trusted him. She did, and look where Alison is now… in the bathroom mirror and Erika’s nightmares.
Preparation starts for the live show. Janelle, with a towel in her hand, has her lips pursed and her eyes closed, no doubt preparing to kiss someone’s butt. Okay, that might not have been necessary, but I had to take the chance while I had it. Seriously though, I think she is just preparing to put on some lipstick. Kaysar suggests to James that he can fix his hair with a flat iron, but James wants none of it. He says that he is not Jase and not a homosexual, so he is not going to use a flat iron to make his hair spiky.
Mike and Kaysar are chatting in the green room. Kaysar is talking about what he plans to do after the show, saying that he might want to go to school. He also mentions that he might want to work the door at Mike’s restaurant. Mike just tells him to let him know. James comes through and tells Kaysar that he already told Janelle that he is canceling her vote, says that Howie is dumb sometimes, but he knows what Janelle is doing, and that there are no hard feelings. Why would there be hard feelings? Janelle’s was really the only vote that Kaysar could totally count on.
Janelle and Kaysar are talking in the bug room around 3:20 Big Brother time. Janelle wants him to pass a message to her boyfriend. The message is that she is really sorry, that she was bored, and that she really cares about him. Let me stop here and add that if she really cared about him, she would not have been “bored.” She adds that if she didn’t really care about him, she would have broken up with him already. Kaysar says to her that his heart really isn’t in the game. It was starting to be, but now it’s kind of too late. Janelle is upset now, because she feels like she has to play for revenge. Lisa, she is not. We then get flames and trivia for quite awhile. Possibly because some pretty big things are rumored to be happening on tonight’s show, and they are getting ready for it.
When we return, as you know if you saw the live show or read Sandy’s recap (followed by David’s look at Why Kaysar Lost), Kaysar was evicted by a vote of 5-1, Erika is the new HOH, and there is a… sheep in the house. Marcellas whines that this has to be some kind of health code violation. Erika is already crying, about what I don’t know, maybe it’s because Marcellas told her that she can eat now. At this news, she runs to the kitchen to get some day old tuna salad. Yummy! Everyone cheers at this.
Danielle has already gone to the diary room to guess the phrase for the coup D’etat. Marcellas says that he thinks that the power up for grabs is that the person who wins it can evict another person along with whoever the house evicts. That’s not a bad idea, really. Are you taking notes, CBS?
Will refuses to pet the sheep, he says they are nasty. Marcellas makes a “Silence of the lambs” joke. No one laughs. Everyone looks kind of down. They finally seem to accept the fact that no one is coming back. It’s about time! Howie is really upset because Big Brother didn’t record one of his button hits during the competition. Mike commiserates, saying the same thing happened to him. Over in the living room, people are talking about how they have to fix things for the west coast broadcast, since Howie’s and Mike’s buzzers did not work. Sorry to say, guys, I am on the west coast time schedule, and they still didn’t work. They did get the f-bombs though.
Erika is giggling very scary-like now that she can eat. It’s about time too; we were starting to see through that girl! Danielle is glued to her side. So you know what this means; that’s right! Erika is just a figurehead and Danielle is the real HOH.
Howie is still complaining about Big Brother screwing him over in the HOH competition. I hate to say it, but I think he may have a point. I looked at it again, and it did appear as though he buzzed in first. Will tells him to go and complain.
Will tells James that Danielle said that Erika and Marcellas want Janelle gone this week, then they are coming after James. Will breaks this news to Janelle. She asks if they know that she cannot play for veto this week, and he says that he doesn’t think so. Janelle thinks that she has three votes, counting Chill Town.
There is still much argument about the competition. Howie swears he got one right and Big Brother says he didn’t.
Most of the houseguests assume that the sheep represents Dolly, the first cloned sheep. Therefore, the phrase must be “do not assume,” or DNA. Erika says that it hurt to evict Kaysar, she even told him that. Howie seems to think that he and Janelle are going up, since she cannot play for veto.
All of a sudden, Big Brother speaks out to all of the houseguests. As one, they answer. And then… flames. When we come back, something pretty major has happened. Due to Howie’s complaining, and the fact that he was probably right, they are going to redo the HOH competition! Howie is of course cheerful. Erika… not so much. It sounds like they are explaining that it was technical difficulties that caused the problems. I do hope that when they do it again, they do not screw over Erika. They should make her immune, or have a co-HOH or something.
Janelle and Howie are standing in the bug room talking. Janelle is really upset. Howie tells her not to waste an HOH on George, to go after the people that are after them. Um, wouldn’t that be everyone? James walks in and tells them both that he has to be honest with them (that would be a first). He says that those five people who voted to save him, they are not All-Stars! They are stupid for keeping him around. I think he has been hanging out with Will way too long.
The usual Thursday pizza has arrived and everyone starts eating. Erika, I kid you not, says she is full after about two bites. I guess day-old tuna can really fill you up. Will mentions that he left the oven on in case someone wants to jump in. No one takes him up on it. George is back on slop at midnight, so he is eating that pizza for all it’s worth. Everyone seems content at the moment, munching pizza and talking about the redo for the HOH competition.
Marcellas is nowhere around, though. Apparently he is off sulking somewhere. Will jokes that they should give them all wine before the redo, should make things interesting. The sheep has not been seen for awhile. I am almost afraid to ask what has happened to it. I did mention in a recap article earlier this week that Will mentioned that they should get a pet in the house, but he wanted a kid. I bet he was disappointed when he saw that they got a sheep and not a goat. Goat, kid, get it? Wow, tough crowd. Speaking of the sheep, there has been no mention of a name yet, though I am sure that they will come up with something creative. What do you guys think? What would you name the sheep?
Okay, enough with the sheep for now. Erika looks bummed since she found out that the HOH room will not be unlocked until 1:00 am Big Brother time. I guess it’s because they have to decorate it according to who the HOH is, if it’s not Erika, or if there is someone else in there with her.
In the bathroom, Mike strokes Howie’s ego, telling him that he did a good job making Big Brother redo the competition. Howie, of course, is eating it up. George wants a hot bath, and he is told that he has about 45 minutes to do that. Will tells Mike that Erika will not win it again, she looks defeated. Janelle joins them and they all agree that Howie is pumped! Howie enters and tells them that Danielle and James are in the gym talking. Mike just blows it off.
Here is a shocker. James is telling Danielle that if he gets HOH, he will put up Danielle! He continues that he has to. She has her other alliance working for her, and he has people working for him, so should he go after Janelle, who is working for him? It doesn’t make sense, he says. He assures her that she will be safe, with Chill Town’s and Erika’s votes. Personally, I think he is counting his chickens before they hatch.
James also tells her that he doesn’t trust George because he spent two hours talking with Kaysar. Howie and Janelle are most likely going to put up Danielle and Marcellas with Danielle being the target. James says that he let her nominate him because he trusted her, and now it’s payback time. Apparently, George swore on his children that he would give Kaysar his vote, and since he didn’t, he cannot be trusted. Danielle is going to tell Erika this because she already doesn’t like him.
Erika hears this and doesn’t believe it, because George told her that he wasn’t going to tell who he was voting for since those are the rules of the game. She goes on to say that Kaysar didn’t offer any deals in the game since he didn’t want anyone to get hurt. They both agree that that sounds like Kaysar.
Janelle, Howie, and Mike are talking in the bug room. Janelle says that if she wins HOH competition, she will be “all like, take that (insert dirty words of choice).” If she does win, and does what she says, it could get really ugly. I love it!
Erika and Danielle are in the gym. Erika is saying over and over again that she won that last competition. Danielle just says that Janelle has got to go, has got to go. Erika states that it is not fair that Janelle gets to compete in the redo, since she got her answer wrong. Apparently, if Erika does not win this redo, she will make history as the HOH with the shortest tenure ever. Which I don’t think is fair, but whatever. Speaking of fair, Danielle tells Erika that she thinks this redo is completely fair, so Erika backs off, but she also wants to be HOH!
Janelle and Howie are pumping each other up for the redo competition. They are going to avenge Kaysar’s eviction.
The competition starts as a voice announces to us that due to technical difficulties, they are doing this competition again. It is not true/false this time, just simple trivia questions about the ghosts, with two choices for answers. Everyone gets the first question right. George and Will are eliminated on the second one. Rather than recap every question, I’m going to send you over to our special report on the new HOH competition for the details. But now it’s down to James, Mike, and Janelle. James is eliminated. Mike and Janelle both answer correctly. On the next question, Mike answers incorrectly, and for the third time in six weeks, Janelle is Head of Household!
Everyone else, especially Erika and Danielle, look very upset! Janelle runs around screaming that this one was for Kaysar! Howie is just as jubilant. Will nags him a bit and Howie just tells him to get a tan. Heh. Danielle comments that someone must be born under a lucky star, and then she asks Big Brother where the wine is. Does she mean wine or whine? She goes on to complain heavily to Mike and Will. She tells Big Brother “if you are listening, I have never been so pissed off.” Is this the same Danielle who thought that this was fair? Or is she just mad that someone that she didn’t want to won it? Either way, she is not happy now.
James deserves an Oscar. He just went from moaning and complaining with Danielle and Will in the gym to Janelle in the bug room, giving her a hug like it was a close competition. It’s no wonder she still trusts this guy! James is trying to dictate Janelle’s nominations again. He thinks it should be Danielle and Marcellas, and she thinks that it should be Erika and Danielle because Erika will protect Danielle. Janelle goes on projecting who she thinks should go up. James is pushing hard for Marcellas to go up, no doubt on Danielle’s orders, but Janelle appears dead set to try and get out Danielle.
Mike, James, and Danielle are talking about who Janelle might put up. Danielle still doesn’t think it’s fair that she had a chance to compete in the redo since she went out on a wrong question in the first one. Erika, of course, agrees. Danielle bashes Janelle fans on the internet because they got what they wanted and will not see the unfairness of it. I have a feeling this will go on all night.
Danielle says she is done mentally. Erika, again, agrees. Danielle continues to whine for some wine. After the way she bashed Big Brother? I don’t think she will be seeing any anytime soon. Now, Danielle and her crew are criticizing Janelle and Howie celebrating a HOH win, saying that it was totally immature and uncalled for. Um, Danielle, who was it last week that fell to the ground, struck a pose, and screamed that she was the black widow? That was Erika right? It wasn’t? Sorry, my mistake.
The red wine has arrived and Danielle passes it around, this should get interesting. Howie, Janelle, and Will are talking in one of the bedrooms. Will says that if he gets HOH next week, he is putting up Howie and Marcellas. Howie is the pawn of course. Howie looks at him like he lost his mind.
Mike just proposed to Erika in the bathroom! What is it about this show that makes Mike want to get married? We do not hear Erika’s answer, but there is a kiss and a hug after. I pray that this is a joke. Erika shows her hand to the camera and tells it that she and Mike are now engaged, and Mike agrees. I hate to say it, but this looks legit. They are now spilling secrets to each other like they had reason to hold back before, now they don’t, and that really looks like an engagement ring on her finger. This is not official yet as they have not told the house, but we shall see.
James is talking to Mike in the gym. Mike is saying that they should push for a Danielle/Marcellas nomination. James tells him that Janelle only wants to put up girls, she feels as though she can control the men, and that she is protecting Marcellas. Mike still says they need to push for a Marcellas nomination. James says it will not work, but Mike will try anyway.
Erika is going OFF in the red room. Warns the camera to not even get (f bomb) near her. She goes off to Big Brother saying that the whole thing is not fair, and that there will always be an asterisk next to the winner. She goes on to say that they should just let her go home now, she doesn’t care anymore, and she states that she wants to go home to her family and her dog. Let me say here that this description was edited very heavily. Marcellas tries to comfort her, but it’s like spitting into an ocean, it’s doing no good.
Janelle gets her HOH key, and they all troop dutifully in. Danielle doesn’t care, all she wants is the wine, a sentiment that Erika shares.
Will and Mike want to sleep, but Danielle and Erika are set on getting drunk and will not let them.
There is more Erika drama. She throws her mic to the floor and curses Big Brother again. Big Brother, as well as the several houseguests in the room, tell her to put it back on, but she refuses. We get flames for a while and when we come back, Erika is alone and sulking in the red room, but I don’t know if she has the mic on or not. She rants that Big Brother has fixed things so Janelle can stay in the game. She tells Marcellas that if they don’t want to play fair, then she is not going to play at all. Marcellas asks her if that means she is taking a voluntary exit, and she says no, she just isn’t going to play, just lie down and not play. She bawls that its messed up, this was her HOH! This goes on for a bit, until she tires herself out and falls asleep.
Everyone else soon follows her example, and so ends a very eventful day in the Big Brother house. So, what did we learn today?
Kaysar was evicted and Erika won HOH, but due to technical difficulties, the competition had to be redone and it was won by Janelle, pissing off almost everyone in the house, especially Erika, who was using the f-bomb like it was going out of style. I guess this throws off any joy she has at being “engaged” to Mike Boogie. Also, James is trying hard to get Marcellas nominated, but Janelle is leaning toward Danielle as a target. Goodnight houseguests!
