Are The Producers Playing Favorites? Is anyone else getting the feeling that the producers are stepping in and interfering with the game when there is an outcome that they might not like? I first got the impression when George was on the block and was a sure-thing to go home that week. And then all of a sudden we get a Veto competition that looks to be made for George to win. I mean, there really was no way that George wasn't going to win the Veto if he honestly wanted to stay in the game.
And then we got a similar Veto competiton when Janelle was put up on the block and was sure to go home. OK, this competition wasn't the same as George's Veto competition, but it was easy enough for her to win if she wanted it bad enough and willing to give up a couple prizes.
I dunno, maybe I'm just paranoid.

As far as those 2 veto comps go, I dont think so. At first I thought the one George won was a set up too, but if think about it...anyone of those guys could have done exactly what Kaysar did. They let their vanity get in the way or fear of not being able to play for the next veto. James, Jase and whoever else was involved had the exact same opportunies that George and Kaysar had. So I dont really think we can call that one rigged for George.
The one Janelle won, anyone could have taken. Will, Marcellas, Boogie and James werent forced to take those prizes and they could have buzzed in or whatever to be isolated or put the house on slop and cots and cold water. They didnt want to win. They werent worried about winning points, they wanted stuff. Janelle and Dani wanted to win, that veto comp was pretty much between just 2 people.

No, I am not jumping on the "rigged" conspiracy bandwagon that has been going around.
The Veto comps usually are made so that anyone can wins. It just boils down to how bad the nom wants it. CG really wanted to win so he was willing to do anything. Janelle really wanted to win and was going to do what she had to. No helping out here. Just too many greedy, self-absorbed people playing.

I think there may be rigging going on but not totally sure it is with just competitions, ready for a real BB season myself this All Star crap is for the birds.

People are saying on the boards this is the last BB because of slacking ratings.

Since the Game Show Scandals of the '50s, it has been illegal to rig the outcome of a game show with a cash prize. So Imma say, No, it ain't fixed.

Things are manipulated in Janelle's favor. That's obvious.

Yeah...I'm gonna go with Angus' answer here.
If it was fixed...Kaysar would still be in the house.

I am positive it was rigged one time to help Boogie out when he hurt his foot. I heard James saying that Boogie didn't have a chance of winning since he had an injured foot.
So the producers set it up by having people answer questions with the buzzer. They only had to stand and press the buzzer. That made it fair for Boogie to win or lose and he lost. But at least he was given a fair chance.
I knew the producers were going to change their plans when Boogie injured his foot.
I think that was the fair thing to do.
Jani has lady luck on her side. A psychic friend of mine said there is something special about Jani. I think she has a high level of intuition where she starts planning in advance for the next game. She seems to always to be prepared.

Okay...they may have made an accomodation for fairness...but "rigging it" presupposes that they are fixing the game to predetermine the winner. They played a game where all could compete in this instance. That's not cheating, its creating a level field of competition.
I don't believe that they are forcing the outcomes, or predetermining winners. THOUGH...they might want certain outcomes. But first and formost, I think all the producers care about is that there be drama...or DRAMA!

And let's not forget, it took Mark Burnett three tries to reward The Most Popular Survivor Ever. If CBS could get away with "fixing" shows, Rupert wouldn't have cost them that much money.
Pepette- 08-17-2006
You really think Rupert is the most popular survivor ever?
Rufus- 08-17-2006
Na, not Rupert, he's yuck.
I think the most favourite survivor ever changes from season to season. It was Steph but then a lot of people turned on her after the last one, not me though. I still like her, but never did really like Rupert.
