April 2 episode Mother's Day: Gabrielle and Carlos fell in love with Libby's newborn baby girl, but complications ensued. Libby's boyfriend, Frank, turned out not to be the daddy, but neither were the random rodeo cowboys Libby had named. She confessed that the baby's dad is Frank's brother. Without waiting for the dad to try and demand his baby back, Gaby and Carlos took the infant and fled the hospital. Yeah, this will end well.
Seeking a sponsor: Bree drew closer to hunky AA sponsor Peter, but when she made a move on him, he fled. Turns out he's also a sex addict, so he assigned Bree to a new sponsor to avoid his own temptation. But when she rejected the new sponsor and passed out in a bar, Peter carried her home. The 12 steps look better to Bree if they lead to Peter's door.
The Ex Files: When Edie announced she was springing a wedding on Karl, Susan freaked out, since the two are still married. When Dr. Ron spilled the beans, Edie demanded that Karl and Susan be at her beck and call for the eventual giant wedding. But when Julie found the photo of Susan and Karl that her dad had kept, Susan confronted her ex, and they kissed. Can that old flame stay ignited?
The whole truth: Lynette was deposed in Andrew's case against Bree. But before the interview, she did some sleuthing and discovered that Andrew does indeed seem more interested in money and cars than any abuse he claims he suffered. So when facing the lawyer, Lynette supported her friend wholeheartedly, and did her best not to help Andrew's case at all.
The invisible family: Have the "Housewives" writers just thrown in the towel on the Applewhite plotline? Why introduce a family, especially the only African-American family on the block, and just drop them midstream? Alfre Woodard deserves better than this.
Unwelcome guest: Edie invited everyone to her engagement party, including Paul Young and his mortal enemy, Felicia Tillman. Felicia managed to make it all about her late sister by presenting Edie with a gift of Martha's dentures. She also called out Paul as a vicious murderer, and he quietly, if publicly, slinked out of the event.
