Anticipation of Episode One
No, I can't wait until tomorrow. I must start this thread today. I'm overly excited and must vent. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait. (Can't go back into general discussion...the girls will attack me!) Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait. Come on THURSDAY...bring me my Survivor fix. Is anyone doing a Re-cap for Survivor? He asks curiously.

Hmm, could this thread be considered premature Survivorization?

It's Thursday!!! and payday to boot!!!  On recaps, I usually just go to the site and read up on the episodes.

It's Thursday!!! and payday to boot!!!  On recaps, I usually just go to the site and read up on the episodes. Hmmmph! I may take a swing at recapping the Big Dog of Reality TV. (As long as it doesn't cut into my Amazing Race viewing time...because that is just WRONG!)

pika- 09-15-2005

If someone does post a recap of the first episode of Survivor, start a new thread for it so people don't have to hunt for it. *pretty please* I haven't decided if I want to try recapping it or not. I've got school work to do (first test next week!), Pogo badges to earn and I'm kind of *meh* about Survivor. I'm more looking forward to the premiere of America's Next Top Model.

Well episode one was interesting...some thoughts.... Whats with the men puking all over the place. Pansy-boys, they need to suck it up like the women. If the whole run is like the first episode, the women will dominate this time. I thought Bobby Jon was gonna go into convulsions the way his eyes were rolled back in his head. I hope they got some medical care other than the tribe nurse. Getting out of the boat at the end of the trek, he looked like his one leg was all but paralyzed. I thought maybe two of the men would go back to help him but apparently it was all they could do to get themselves to the camp. I never knew dehydration could affect you that way. I think they will keep BJ and Stephanie around for a while to take advantage of their previous knowledge, but if they are smart they will get rid of them sooner than later becasue Steph kicked butt last time. Of course Im sure there will be that one player that resents Stephs speaking up about the best way to do something and will be seen sitting on a rock talking to the camera about how Steph is acting like a know it all and needs to go. That big guy...Judd?....he got kind of defensive when Jeff asked him about being on his back.

I watched the show and was taking notes during it but somebody called me during the immunity challenge and I didn't get off the phone until Survivor was over. So I didn't complete a recap.

We are women hear us roar....not toss our cookies!! Damn, all four guys at once! That's a first! I felt so bad for them, especially BJ and Blake. The needles in the branch that hit Blake on the shoulder must have been poisionous or something cuz in next week's epi, he's having trouble breathing?! Judd is a loud mouthed New Yawker who got all bent out of shape for nuttin'! Oh, I was only on my back for an hour then I was fine! Fool bailed out of the boat too soon and ended up in mud! That was too funny!

pika- 09-16-2005

What Blake ran into might not necessarily be poisonous. He might just have a bad allergic reaction to it. Someone else might have gotten stuck by it and not had such severe symptoms. I saw an episode of Fear Factor where they had to reach their hand inside a dead cod and eat nasty things like cod liver and I don't remember what else. One girl had an allergic reaction on her hand just from reaching in the fish so the judges advised her not to eat the stuff because she could have an even worse reaction from injesting it. Nobody else had a reaction to the fish (aside from the usual revulsion).

I'm guessing that Bobby Jon tried to do too much without drinking water and the other guys tried to keep up. They all paid the price. Hopefully, they will keep properly hydrated from here out. I wonder if the other tribe had dehydration issues that they just didn't air? And is anybody else referring to the tribes as "Steph's tribe" and "Bobby Jon's tribe"? I can't remember the real names...

Kitri- 09-16-2005

Pika, that's the word I was looking for, allergic reaction! Yep, poor Blake is suffering but I'm sure he'll get over it. I'm having trouble remembering which tribe BJ and Steph are on! But when I think of nurse Margaret, then I know she's on the same tribe as BJ, just can't remember the name. The tribe names are harder to remember this time!

DarStar- 09-16-2005

Nakum - BobbyJon's tribe Yaxha - Steph's tribe. (pronounced Yasha ? i think) I will prolly just say BJ's & Stephs tribes still. LOL.

pika- 09-16-2005

Honestly, can't they give the tribes pronouncable names? Nakum isnt so bad but the other one is hard to pronounce and hard to spell. F* it, I'll just call them Tribe X.

Re: Puking
Whats with the men puking all over the place. Pansy-boys, they need to suck it up like the women. I'd puke too if I had to march 11 miles through the jungle with little water, carrying 2 heavy bags of rice and stuff. That's why Bobby John was heaving up his guts and cramping up. I'm not sure what the other guy's problems were. I don't remember if they were carrying a lot of stuff or not. Does anyone know the meaning of the two tribe names?
