They closed out the first hour with a reject from season one singing The American National Anthem, a horrid rendition from her audition. Then she finishes the final last verse of the song comin out all cleaned up and pretty, and singing alot better than she used to! They start out the second hour with Carrie and Bo singing Love Lift Us Up, which they did really well, imo. And Bo was looking really oh-la-la in his white button down shirt and black leather pants, all I have to say bout that is *mmmm-mmm-mmm-mmm-mmmm* :lol:

Seems I'm the only one who wanted Bo to win. I was so disapponted when Ryan announced the winner. I didn't even want to see her sing the song that would be her single. I changed the channel back to VH1's Movies that Rock and watched the rest of "The Temptations." (I was flipping back and forth during commercials...and frankly the Temptations was more interesting!) But anyhoo, the spoof they did was funny! Goes to show you what they think of Corey Clark! :twisted:

It was a given. When they said her name, I didn't feel any surprise or anything, just sort of .... of course. If they had said Bo I would have been flabbergasted, but thrilled too! It was a good show, I enjoyed the singing with their own idols, and I thought having the anthem sung the way they did was cool, that girl will never forget that moment and I thought it was great they way they brought her back and those two guys who sang sooooooooooooooooo bad and brought David Hasselhoff to see him! That was hilarious. And also having some of the past contestants doing the red carpet and city hosting was cool. Carrie's final song that she sang once she was declared the winner probably showed more emotion from her than any song before! And I'm glad they BOTH got cars! They did a lot more in that two hours than they normally do and it made it much better, IMO.

I still have to watch the show, I couldn't stand not knowing who had won though.

Allowing that girl to sing the National Anthem was not cool IMO. It was it extreme bad taste. I am an American serving in the armed forces, and hearing/watching that performance did not sit well with me. Normally when I hear the National Anthem or say the Pledge of Allegiance I get goosebumps. Last night was bitterly painful for me. She did not do the song justice and IMO, that is not how the song should be sung. It should be done with pride, not as a joke.

Re: Finale
I was thinking the same thing, Slim Smurfy. I didn't see it, but I heard it from the other room. My wife saw it and thought it was tasteless. Other than that, though, I thought the finale was pretty good. I especially loved the spoof on Corey Clark. Randy's "buy my CD" t-shirt was priceless. Even though she totally deserved it, I was a little surprised Carrie won. The last couple of days, all I've been hearing from the music experts on tv and radio and the in newspaper is that Bo will win. I guess this just shows what the so-called experts know. :wink:
