4/26 show - Impressions
I would have ranked the performances tonight in the same order in which they sang: 1. Carrie 2. Bo 3. Vonzell 4. Anthony 5. Constantine 6. Scott Scott was once again the weakest performer but Anthony surprised me. He chose a song that suited him and did it well...although it was weird to hear him sing a Celene Dion song. The rockers were still carrying the mike stands around. What's up with that?? Bo delivered a much better performance because it was superior vocally although both rockers worked the camera and the audience. I disagreed with the judges on the two ladies. I thought Carrie was much better than they gave her credit for being (maybe by going first they were being harder on her??) and they overdid the praise for Vonzell. You know that Constantine is doing a poor job when even my kids recognize that he's getting the lyrics wrong. Paula needs to just sit and be quiet. Her airtime is useless. She says the dumbest things and contradicts herself. Her assessment of Constantine's performance was perfect example. One minute it's about singing well and then, when her boy Constantine doesn't, suddenly it's the overall performance that matters most.

I liked Bo and Constantine and Carrie tonight. I thought Scott was horrible and he better go this week. I like Vonzell but something just didnt sound right to me, with her this week. Anthony was ok...but I didnt like the song.

I liked Bo a lot, and Carrie and Vonzell were good as well. Anthony did a good job, but I hated that song! Constantine and Scott were horrible, but out of the two I would definitely say it's Scott's time to go!

I liked Scott  hated Constantine :?

I liked Bo a lot, and Carrie and Vonzell were good as well. Anthony did a good job, but I hated that song! Constantine and Scott were horrible, but out of the two I would definitely say it's Scott's time to go! I also liked Bo and Vonzell last night. I can take or leave Carrie. I didn't recognize the song Anthony sang but he did a great job! I really like his voice, he has such control. Scott sucked royally and it agree with Simon, after that performance, it's time to pack his bags! Constantine needs to hang it up! Nuff said. Bottom three: Scott, Constantine and Carrie (although she probably won't be there).

I would have ranked the performances tonight in the same order in which they sang: 1. Carrie 2. Bo 3. Vonzell 4. Anthony 5. Constantine 6. Scott Ditto me. Carrie was a little more animated tonight, but she just nailed the song I thought. Bo sang well and performed comfortably like he owned the stage as always, but he needs to sing a song--at least one--that shows a little broader range to stay much longer, in my opinion. Vonzell has great range and I thought she sang it well, but it just didn't "flow" or "do" anything much for me. Anthony did sing well and I might even have ranked him higher if he had a history of singing well. Right now, I'm calling it a fluke. Constantine is not a rocker. Scott is not an American Idol. Bottom 3: Scott, Constantine, Vonzell  with Scott going home.

Predicted Bottom 3: Scott, Carrie, and Connie Personal Boot: Connie. Predicted Boot: Scott. Because, as we've learned over the entirety of the season, America does exactly what it's told to do. Did anyone think Count Chocula when seeing Connie's brother? Also that guy needs to eat a few hoagies.

Did anyone think Count Chocula when seeing Connie's brother? Also that guy needs to eat a few hoagies. ROFL!!!! He gives the word "gaunt" a new meaning....

This is a really disappointing season of American Idol for me. I don't really like any of the remaining people so I have no one to root for. I don't think the winner this time will end up being as big of a star as some of the former American Idol winners.

Bottom 3: Scott, Constantine, Vonzell  with Scott going home. I agree with both of your assessments. I have never like Constatine, but last night made me loath him. He totally screwed up the song. At least all the other singers got the words right. He messed up so many words I lost count. IMO opinion, anyone who thinks he did good last night, doesn't know the song he sang. It's one thing to like him because he's your favorite, but be honest when he royally screws up. I think Scott will go, but I really wish Constatine would go. And for Paula to tell others they are pitchy but tell Constatine and America that it is o.k. if you are off, that is a huge contradiction and shows her bias.

Here's my rankings. I agree with most of you on most areas. 1. Carrie - She rocked on that song and really looked like a superstar. She was hot, she was powerful and she sang like a star. 2. Vonzell - I loved the vocals and she was very personable. Wasn't a lotta' oomph, but it was pleasant. And that pretty much sums up Vonzell for me. Stellar voice, beautiful girl, pleasant performer. I think she belongs in the top two, but don't know how much farther she will last. 3. Bo - I like this guy's voice, in fact I love it, but I just don't see him as an Idol. I see him as a frontman for a metal band. But his performance was right on last night. 4. Anthony - I thought he gave his all and sold the song very well. VERY well. I don't like his style, so I guess I am sorta' biased against him. He just seems too mid 90's boy-bandish to me. Not that that's a bad thing, I just don't care for it. If I was 15 years younger I would probably want to be just like him though. LOL. He does have strong vocals and a solid presence. 5. Scott - I thought he was better than Connie. I don't care to watch Scott perform, but I can't see how anybody could say that he doesn't have a beautiful voice. 6. Connie - I wouldn't mind hiim so much if he didn't mug to the camera so dang much. I can't stress that enough. He's a showman, gotta give him credit. I like his voice too, but I can't stand the way he sings. If that makes any sense. Overall, I gave my votes to Vonzell and Carrie. I think they are the only two who truly deserve to stay till the end and I couldn't possibly vote for someone else and have them go before some of the others. My pick for the bottom 3..... Anthony, Scott and Connie with Connie going home. My prediction is Anthony, Vonzell and Scott with Scott going home.

Re: Rankings
Here's how I would rank last night's performances: 1. Carrie - She's at her best when she sings country-western. 2. Bo - I kinda liked Lenny Kravitz the glasses. 3. Constantine - I give his singing a 6, but his performance gets a 10. 4. Vonzell - I think Simon is right, the song wasn't nearly as good as Randy and Paula thought. Something about it sounded a little off. 5. Scott - I didn't care for the song, but I thought he did a good job after a slightly shaky begining. 6. Anthony - There was nothing about the performance I liked. It was horrible from start to finish. Ugh. I think the bottom three will be Vonzell, Anthony, and Scott. And it really wouldn't surprise me if Vonzell is the one who leaves this week and Scott is once again safe.
