Anwar was such a sweetie! He might not have been the best singer in the competition, but he was an all-around better package that Anthony and certainly Scott!
I don't mean any disrespect to Americans here, but wow, I wish you guys could watch Canadian Idol! The talent is so much more versatile, and the contestants were picked off in exactly the right order I do believe! It's not fair, we don't get the extra publicity and interest in our Idols! :cry:

I think Anwar was sweet and had a nice personality. But his song choices lately were on the easy side. I think if he had picked better songs that showcased his vocals he wouldn't have been voted off. Did anyone else noticed how only three of the seven knew how to play an instrument last night. Anwar, Carrie and Bo. The others looked silly out there just singing.

ooh ohh, the entire top 10 of Canadian Idol could play instruments! Come on Rufus, you had to remember when they played together that one show. I don't remember what it was (I think it may have been Gordon Lightfoot?) but it was really good! There were a few guitarists, someone on the piano, our little Kalan Porter on the violin, and I think Theresa was playing some banjo type thing
Ok, enough pimping on CI now :lol: , I just wish you guys could watch! Saseremy watched last season some how, I think they had to like download the episodes or something though.

This result was absolutely WRONG!!! I still haven't figured out who the idiots/imbeciles/morons/half-wits/simpletons/etc. are who are voting for Scott and Anthony...but they all need to be rounded up and, if not shot, then smacked...HARD!!! :evil: :evil: :evil:
Well, I did my part...I called in a few votes for Anwar. I guess I should have been doing it for the entire 2 hour calling period.
The top two men in this competition were Anwar and Bo. Anwar has a better voice but Bo has better showmanship.
I guess I can take comfort in the fact that Anwar has now been seen by the whole country and I'm sure there are record companies out there who will jump at the chance of hiring Anwar. It is not over for him. I guarantee he will end up, in the long run, having a better musical career than Scott or Anthony.
Nevertheless...last night's voting results BLOW!!!

Anwar was not my favorite performer. He had a good voice but he didn't really have his own style. To me he sounded like Tommy Davidson on In Living Color doing Stevie Wonder. Kind of like a ripoff of a ripoff. He would make a great wedding singer but he doesn't have anything original for other people to emulate, which is something an idol needs. If he hadn't gone this week, it would have been next week or the week after that.

Re: Anwar I'm with Pika, Anwar is a decent singer and seems like a good guy, but his time was up. I do agree that Anthony and Scott should've gone home first, though. Anwar is more deserving than those two, he should've outlasted them. Heck, Jessica and Nadia are way more deserving than those two and should've outlasted Scott and Anthony. Ugh. :roll:
